The US postal stamp series project required that students honor Americans of a specific minority culture. I chose to honor my own Jewish-American culture by illustrating political activists of Jewish faith who dedicated their lives to making the country more accepting, inclusive and equal for all citizens. I grew up learning about and looking up to these individuals, and felt it was important to create a stamp series that honors their important role in American political movements.
